The Ramblings of a Cuteasaurus

Seeing as Muppets got such a response last time, I was hoping to work them in again, but alas, I cannot do so...so this post must be muppet-less.

Instead, I'll talk about what happened today at school...namely, that today was the first time I drew someone's blood. We have to learn to do it for licensing purposes, and so we practice on each other. I let my partner go first since she kinda wanted to, and I was in no hurry. I actually have no problem "being stuck" with a needle. And then it was my turn, and I didn't realize I'd be so nervous. After I inserted the needle, it was time to put on a tube, and I swear my hands must have been shaking. But, I did it, and I didn't cause any of those "complications." Even though Drs. rarely actually do anything involving needles these days, it's still one of those "skills" Drs. are expected to have, and so I can breathe a sigh of relief that I did it, even if it was only the once.

In other news, you may recall I asked for your good wishes as I filled out my application. It must have worked, because I get an interview. In about a week and a half, I have to go to Des Moines. It sounds like there will be about 15-20 ppl, and they choose 2...so whatever you guys did last time...could you do it again? *insert angelic look here*

Oh, and if you work with the elderly or the very young, I'd suggest you get a flu shot. But, not from me, since I can't do that yet. ;)
