Goodbye Doc

I realized I hadn't written anything about Doc Farber after he passed. (http://media.www.volanteonline.com/media/storage/paper468/news/2007/03/28/DocFarber/Remembering.William.doc.Farber-2809226.shtml) I think this article actually does a fairly good job. Quite simply, he was a great student advocate and not always in the most obvious ways. Since this is a fairly public page, I won't go into specifics, but I suspect, even now, he did a lot for me that I'll never know about. He was also just a sweet man. And, while my flight schedule didn't allow me to go to his funeral, I trust he knows that I appreciated everything he did for me and for the school. Thanks Doc.

Yay for Ethics!

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=257203&GT1=7703 So, it turns out that one physician is resonsible for the scripts for all Anna Nicole's medications, although not all of them are written in her name and many are actually written in Mr. Stern's. This is so irritating. I'm normally all for not judging what a doctor does for a patient from the outside, since I don't have the chart in front of me and therefore have huge gaps in understanding of the patient's medical issues. However, Anna Nicole was a famous person with a well-known history of substance-abuse problems. Come on.

Yay for Felicia!

She got her Udall Scholarship! (It's an undergraduate national scholarship for students with career plans involving the environment.)
